July's Home of the Month winner is....

The Marietta Board of REALTORS would like to congratulate

Larry Carpenter of Marietta

on being selected as the July Home of the Month winner!

212 Franklin Street was constructed in 1863 and has survived the countless floods Marietta has seen since. “There was flood mud on the first floor and about 12 inches of water in the basement.” said Larry, recalling some of the flooding that the house has seen over the years.

Larry Carpenter, the current owner has poured his heart and soul into maintaining and improving the home since he became the owner in the mid 1980s. The 2,302 square foot 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home was beautifully restored inside and out in 2022 by B&A Construction of Marietta. 

Located in the Harmar Village, this home is in the heart of the historic charm. Within walking distance of river trails, scenic views of the Ohio River, and the community-rich atmosphere that Marietta is celebrated for are just a few reasons why this house is a wonderful addition to the town’s legacy.
